About Me
Hello! I am Mark Mangiaracina (Mr. M for short), this is my third year at New Berlin High School and my fourth year teaching.
I am originally from Sherman, IL where I graduated from Williamsville High School in 2015. Following graduation I attended college at Concordia University Chicago where I received a Bachelor of Art in K-12 Art Education and also minored in music.
I'm also a professional artist on the side working with The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space here in downtown Springfield, where I create art that brings representation to and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing trombone which I've played for 12 years now, getting coffee with friends, and going to drag shows.
Some fun facts about me, I have played in a touring wind ensemble in college, playing all over the US, all around South Africa, recorded 2 CD's, and even got to play in Carnegie Hall March 2019.
